Sophia Padovana
Physiotherapist

Sophia completed her Master of Physiotherapy Practice following a Bachelor of Biomedicine at La Trobe University, developing a strong foundation in anatomy and biomechanics at both molecular and functional levels. Her interest in physiotherapy was shaped by her sporting background and a passion for helping athletes return to sport stronger and more resilient.

Sophia has experience managing musculoskeletal injuries, with a particular focus on foot and ankle injuries, as well as lower limb rehabilitations. She works with athletes and active individuals across all levels, guiding them through injury recovery, post-operative rehabilitation, and performance optimisation.

Her treatment approach integrates strength and conditioning principles, objective strength testing, progressive loading, and movement analysis. Sophia places a strong emphasis on understanding the underlying mechanisms of injury, ensuring rehabilitation addresses not only symptoms but the contributing factors behind them. She is passionate about providing athletes with the tools and strategies to gain that extra 1% advantage, helping them return to sport not just recovered, but performing at a higher level.

As a former VFLW player, she brings firsthand insight into the physical and psychological demands of high-level sport and the importance of structured, progressive rehabilitation for safe return to play.
