Core Development Program

Elevate your performance with our Core Development Program, designed for athletes ready to enhance their overall capabilities. This program focuses on developing strength, rate of force development, upper and lower body power output, and injury prevention.

The journey begins with an initial assessment, where athletes will measure their baseline movement competency, speed, agility, power, and strength using our cutting-edge Vald sport science equipment. We’ll assess key metrics such as acceleration speed, vertical jump, reactive strength, hip adduction and abduction strength, and eccentric hamstring strength. Our expert team in the sport science and biomechanics department will interpret these results and explain how they relate to your specific sport.

These baseline metrics enable our coaches to create a personalised training program that aligns with your goals while addressing your strengths and weaknesses identified in the assessment. You’ll have access to our performance training software to track your progress.

Athletes will train in our fully equipped gym three times a week, where our experienced coaches will guide you through every aspect of your program.

Additionally, to further support your athletic journey, our dedicated team of Physiotherapists and Nutritionists is available to provide expert assistance at a discounted rate.

We are offering all athletes a Free Performance Assessment to come and see our gym.

Biomechanical Analysis

Meet our Strength & Conditioning Coaches

Our facilities and services include:

  • Biomechanical Analysis:
    • 25 metre runway embedded with two force plates (Bertec)
    • Motion capture system (Xsens 3D motion tracking technology)
  • Strength and performance testing using:
    • Humac isokinetic dynamometer
    • VALD ForceFrame
    • VALD ForceDecks
    • VALD SmartSpeed Timing Gates
  • Ligament laxity assessment
  • Application of various patient-reported outcomes (PROMS)
  • Immediate biofeedback and interventions from our resident physiotherapists and S&C Coaches
  • Complete report provided to patients to take back to their coaches/physiotherapists

The data generated using our movement analysis and performance testing enable us to create a movement and performance profile for athletes and patients alike. Using this profile, we can optimise an athlete or a patient’s performance through:

  • Benchmarking their profile with normative data and using evidence-based criteria to define performance or recovery.
  • Identifying any underlying biomechanical patterns that may be detrimental to performance or recovery
  • Addressing any residual physical deficits that may affect performance or recovery
  • Developing targeted interventions

Beyond rehabilitation, the Biomechanics Laboratory and Testing Facility also guides innovation, ensuring patients of all ability levels receive the most effective and tailored treatment possible to improve their overall health, function, and performance
